Practice active listening.Do active listening with the older guy by asking him about his day and then listening to him fully as he speaks. Listen without interrupting but show you are engaged by nodding and maintaining eye contact with him. You can also offer advice or comment on what he tells you.

Get to know him. Ask him questions. Boys love talking about themselves, as do us girls. But if you want to get him, youre going to have to sacrifice talking about yourself so much, unless he asks about you. Ask him if he plays any sport, or what music he listens to, his favorite movie.
